Possibly the main thing that differentiates the medieval peregrino from the modern one is the amount of information that is available to the modern peregrino! The irony of using the 21st century tool of the internet to accomplish what is at its core a medieval activity is quite profound! It is now quite humorous to stand in Plaza de Obradoiro in front of the Cathedral on any given morning around 10:00 and watch peregrinos arriving after weeks of trudging toward this goal. After a few moments of personal or joint reflection and rejoicing, the event is then typically recorded in photos. It is then not uncommon for a cell phone to appear and some relative or friend in some distant location is invited to join in the moment. Such is our age.

The American Pilgrims site has assembled a large collection of resources for the prospective peregrino looking for basic information about the Camino as well as for the experienced one. It is our intention to become a comprehensive and recognized source for:

Books button Books and printed material
CD button CDs and music
Web resources button Internet resources

As our Resources pages are intended to be a public resource, we are very interested in receiving feedback concerning the information on this collection of pages. We invite you to contact the webmaster to report broken links, to suggest new ones or to suggest books or CDs that are not in our lists. Owners of commercial sites related to the Camino should be aware that the Board of Directors of American Pilgrims on the Camino has a policy concerning the listing of commercial sites. Consideration of sites with a strong commercial aspect will be forwarded to the Board for a decision about inclusion. The Board will balance commercialism against the broad usefulness of the site to peregrinos.
