american pilgrims

The Southern California Chapter of American Pilgrims compasses the area between Santa Barbara and San Diego. Broadly stated, the purpose of this local chapter is to keep members connected to the Camino and to introduce new people to the phenomenon.  We plan to accomplish this in a number of ways, such as social events, walks, mentoring future pilgrims and serving as a venue for hospitalero training through American Pilgrims.

You can check this page and the Local and Regional Events page for event dates and information. Contact chapter co-chairs Anita Baroldi or Marla Keesee at SoCalChapter@americanpilgrims.com for more information or to be added to the chapter e-mail list.

Showing of the European version of The Way
Sunday, January 29, 2012

The Southern California Chapter of American Pilgrims was pleased to be able to show the European version of the movie The Way staring starring Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez. There is footage in the European version that was cut from the North American release. While many have already seen the film, many were also interested in this slightly different version. The presentation was followed by informal discussion of the film and topics Camino in general.
